coos in tender softness as
lashes flutter opened slowly,
the rising rays of sunlight
filter through into a small
kennel, illuminating the small
creature curled within, golden
ringlets glimmer in silken
beauty as she crawls out to
stretch in feline splendor,
a new day begins, new journeys
in life, a slave's perception
of that around her unfolding
day by day ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
rises in graceful softness,
slipping out into the fresh
air in morning light, a faint
breeze drifts past her to
tease in cool sensation, honeyed
mane swirls over sculpted
curves as she walks through
the fields, jade gaze is drawn
to a small tree growing amidst
a stony area, lush and green,
a vision to behold in such
drab surroundings, a smile
curves to rubied lips as she
moves to it ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
murmurs softly neath the protection
of the tree, vowing this shall
be a place she visits often,
resting in the comfort it
provides, her attentions drawn
to that around the tree, small
visions of life sprouting
from its source, grass here,
blooms there, small creatures
fed and warmed by its power,
a grand thing this is for
the dark place it resides
in, a thing of utmost beauty
and comfort ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
continues her regular visits
to the grand tree, each time
she learns more of its power
and exquisite offerings to
the land it dwells in, oftentimes
she finds herself in company
of others who have learned
of its value, each taking
what they needed and learning
more with every travel, she
finds herself growing as a
slave, a bond to this life
source now so close to her
heart ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
settles one bright morning
beneath the grand ole tree,
talking to it as she does
each time she visits, a small
offering of her own granted
to its roots, having learned
the tree responds well to
the foul smelling curds, she
brings them with her each
time now, basking in the sweet
glory it gives her, saddened
only by the inability to visit
as often as she once was allowed
ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
heads out into the crisp air
one day to visit her friend,
the tree, settling below it's
willowing branches, noticing
all the greenery and life
that has sprouted from its
growth in what was once a
stony barren existence, her
eyes glance upward to the
branches, noticing they are
not as lush as long ago, the
fruits still succulent, yet
fewer in numbers ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
cradles yet again to the solid
structure of the trunk, the
foul little lumps of cream
pressed into the roots for
the pleasure of her friend,
a careless afternoon spent
taking all its beauty for
granted, knowing it's always
been there with each visit,
enjoying fully the vast splendor
it provides to all who come
to partake of the riches the
grand tree offers to any who
seek it ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
carries on with life as many
do, her visits to the tree
fewer and fewer until one
day she heads into the morning
sun, a large fence in her
path, baring her from a much
needed travel to its caring
aid, she turns and goes back
to her duties, missing the
trip but going on in hopes
to return another time, surely
that fence will be gone eventually,
surely her visits will be
restored ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
tests the fence's presence
now and then, her life not
quite as rich as when she
was allowed neath the tree's
grandeur regularly, each time
she turns from the barred
gate and heads back home in
hopes for another chance later,
missing her friend more and
more with each disappointing
try, carrying on with life's
demands as all must, settled
comfortably in her home one
night when darkness falls
ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
hears a whispered hush, the
tree has fallen, the tale
of how it fought off disease
for so long fresh to her ears,
why had she not given more,
why had she not given something
more, and now it was too late,
her friend forever gone, no
healing visits, no more precious
moments, an unsurpassed beauty
taken without so much as a
hug, a goodbye, a girl stricken
with pain and tears ğİĞ
clarissa{Sax} ğİĞ
takes her loss hard, dimmed
by the darkness, she notes
the fence has gone, she travels
to where once stood life's
most precious thing, she looks
around neath the tears that
stream, surprised by that
which she sees, so much green
life where once that stone
did reign, so much beauty
left from the tree's existence,
so many there to mourn its
loss, all richer for having
had it as long as they did
